Cost guide for Edmonton properties

What Does a Vending Machine Cost an Edmonton Property?

If you manage a building and you are pricing on-site refreshment, this page answers the real question: what the property pays, what VendAI pays, and what qualifies a site.

Direct answer

Zero equipment cost to the property.

VendAI installs and operates the program at no cost to you. We own the vending machines, smart stores, and micro market equipment, and we cover install, product, restocking, cleaning, and service. You provide the space, a standard outlet, and access for our route team.

  • No purchase, lease, or monthly equipment fee
  • Product, restocking, cleaning, and repairs are ours
  • Revenue share available at higher-traffic sites
  • The property covers only electricity for the unit

Why there is no cost to you

The program is funded by product sales, not by billing the building. That means our incentive is to place the right format in the right spot and keep it stocked with what actually sells. If the unit underperforms, we change the mix or the equipment rather than leaving you with an asset you paid for.

What determines whether a site qualifies

Traffic and visibility do most of the work. We look at how many residents, staff, guests, or crews pass the space each day, how visible the placement is, whether there is room and power, and whether people currently leave the building to buy food and drinks.

How revenue share works

Higher-traffic properties — apartment and condo communities, hotels, and busy office buildings — can take a share of sales, paid monthly. Lower-traffic sites usually do better treating the program as a free amenity than as a revenue line. We tell you which one your building is before you sign anything.

Frequently asked

Questions Edmonton property managers ask about cost.

What does a vending machine cost my property?
Nothing. VendAI owns the equipment and covers delivery, installation, product, restocking, cleaning, and service. The property provides the space and a standard power outlet.
Do I have to buy or lease the machine?
No. There is no purchase, no lease, and no monthly equipment fee. If you would rather own equipment outright, that is a different model and not what our managed program is.
Can my property earn revenue from it?
Yes. Revenue-share programs are available for higher-traffic sites such as apartments, hotels, and busy office buildings, and payments are issued monthly.
Who pays for repairs, refunds, and power?
VendAI covers repairs, service calls, and customer refunds. The property covers only the electricity the unit draws, which is comparable to a commercial cooler.
What makes a site qualify?
Consistent daily traffic, a visible and accessible location, room for the equipment, and a power outlet nearby. A free site assessment confirms the fit and the recommended format.
How long does installation take?
Most Edmonton-area installs happen within a few weeks of the assessment, and delivery is scheduled outside your peak hours. The unit is fully stocked before it goes live.
